We reported a couple of weeks ago about the newest bike lane in Richardson, but it wasn’t finished according to the Richardson Bike Route Plan (pdf). Today, we confirm that it’s now complete – as it stretches from the UTD campus at Campbell Road all the way south to Spring Valley Road. From there, it’s only a block away from Maham Road, which is at the head of the Cottonwood Trail.
According to an email from the city, we’ve also learned that it is one of the longest in north Texas.

EDIT: Looks like the Waterview bike lane extends a few hundred yards north of Campbell as well, then ends into a shared lane. This is nice, but it would be cool to see it extended all the way to the PGB Turnpike – connecting with the Renner Road trail.
