More Renner Road Underpass Progress

Posted in Bike Trails and Routes, City Stuff by dickdavid on August 14, 2011

It’s been a couple of weeks since we’ve checked on the progress of the Renner Road trail underpass. We were quite surprised to see so much progress in such a short amount of time. Now that the retaining wall is going up, we’re starting to get a better idea of how this trail is going to look.

Yep, Rita & I were down there this morning as well, trying to gauge when this could be completed… My best guess is October 1st, but that’s just an uneducated guess… As you all can tell I’m anxious for this to be completed as it will positively impact my daily commute from east Richardson to northwest Plano… I’ll be using that trail coming and going, and it will make that area so much safer for me… It will eliminate crossing both 75 access roads, the weird stub out of Collins into Renner, and the crossing of Renner at Alma… One heck of an improvement for me which I am greatly looking forward to! Thank you to the City of Richardson!

Co-workers here and several DORBA members are also very thankful for this trail. It can’t get done soon enough!
